Course Overview

This workshop is intended for delegates who have attended an appropriate PRINCE2 course and wish to prepare for and take the Practitioner examination or existing Practitioners who need to sit the re-accreditation exam. It provides an exam focused revision of the method and provides guidance and practice in the approach to be taken to achieve exam success.

Audience

This course is designed to support existing PRINCE2 practitioners who need to gain re-accreditation or those who have attended a PRINCE2 practitioner course and need to attempt the exam(s).

Course Objectives

To prepare delegates for the PRINCE2 2009 Practitioner examination (or re-registration examination) which is sat on the course. Delegates requiring the Foundation exam may also attempt that on the course.

Skills Gained

  • Review their understanding of the PRINCE2 project management method.
  • Understand how to improve their examination performance.
  • Prepare for the practitioners examination.
  • Take the PRINCE2 examination.

Examinations

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination (2009 edition) or
  • PRINCE2 re-registration examination (2009 edition).

The examination scheme is administered by the Association for Project Management Group Ltd.

At the time of booking delegates should indicate whether they require the full 3 hour Practitioner examination, or the 1 hour re-registration examination (for existing PRINCE2 Practitioners only - evidence of this is required).

Prerequisites

Delegates who have previously attended a PRINCE2 Practitioner or Certificate in Project Management for Information Systems course will have studied an earlier edition and should familiarise themselves with the latest edition. This can be done by attending PRINCE2 2009 Skills Bridge Workshop. Delegates who have previously attended a PRINCE2: 2009 Practitioner can attend.

Notes

There is some pre-course reading which will be sent to participants prior to attendance and there will be some evening revision and exam preparation work.

Course Outline

  • Revision of PRINCE2 2009
  • The APMGroup Examination process explained
  • Hints and tips on passing the examinations. Typical examination scenarios and questions. Mock examination papers.

Follow On Courses
