Course Overview This course is intended to provide an introduction to and skill to maintain Windows-based Terminal Servers in the workplace. It covers what Terminal Services is, how it benefits business, as well as how to install it, modes of operation and day-to-day administration. In addition, it also covers how to install applications onto a Windows Terminal server and how to licence a Terminal Server environment to avoid licensing-related problems. This course, or equivalent knowledge is a PRE-REQUISITE for attendance on any Citrix MetaFrame-based course, as these courses assume reasonable knowledge of Terminal Server administration. Audience The audience should be technical staff that will be responsible for administering Windows Terminal Services and may also be implementing Terminal Services and applications. In addition, delegates that will be responsible for installation, maintenance and / or administration of Citrix MetaFrame should attend this course first Prerequisites Delegates should have a reasonable working knowledge of Windows Server administration and ideally have attended the Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Administration or Updating Windows NT 4 to Windows 2003 courses or have equivalent knowledge.
