  • Prioritising your work through realistic planning and allocation of time for tasks

  • Coping with interruptions and demands from others- negotiating and saying no assertively
  • Controlling paperwork - cutting the clutter and filing
  • Understanding the clear desk policy
  • Developing a check list for the effective use of the telephone and relaying accurate messages to others
  • Getting the best from meetings - identifying participants responsibilities
  • Working with others: assisting them to plan and organise their working day
  • What can your manager/supervisor do to assist you?
