Prerequisites None Course Outline - Introducing The Grammar Workbook; identifying how we learn and use language
- Parts of speech: how words differ in function and meaning; identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs
- Groups of words: the system for organising words into groups; using a toolkit for analysing language; identifying the active and passive
- Structuring information: organising sentences into paragraphs; making sense of paragraphs with punctuation; how style affects the tone of writing; developing an appropriate tone
- Style planning: establishing personal standards for an appropriate corporate writing style
