Course Overview

This course teaches the basics of a Red Hat Linux environment and prepares for the future role as a system administrator. The course focuses on the use of the command line interface and its basic commands that a crucial for a administrator or system engineer.

Audience

Users with little or no command line experience in any operating system; users of desktop applications on other operating systems who want rapid training in user skills for Linux. Prepares you for RH133 Red Hat Linux System Administration.

Examinations

This along with course RH133, Red Hat Systems Administration & RH253 Red Hat Linux Networking and Security, will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to pass the Red Hat Linux Exam.

Prerequisites

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with any windowing interface or GUI is expected. Experience with common desktop applications such as a word processing program or a file manager is expected
