Course Overview

This course is part one of an extensive introduction to the UNIX operating system and how to use its many commands and utilities. Together with UNIX System Basics II (H2572S) it is the foundation and prerequisite for most other UNIX courses. The 3-day course is 60 percent lecture and 40 percent hands-on.

System administrators, network administrators, software developers, programmers, operators, and technical users

Prerequisites

You should have general computer literacy and be familiar with a keyboard.
