Course Overview In this course you will develop the skills necessary to administer one or more database servers. You will learn how to configure and initialise a database server instance, configure and test client connectivity, configure and manage memory and disk usage, pland and implment system maintenance tasks and configure the server for optimal Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) or Decision Support. Prerequisites - Use of Unix file system and vi editor - basic vi commands only are necessary or Windows file sytem
- Knowledge of Unix administration would also be useful.
- We recommend that you attend the following course or have the equivalent knowledge, but the Informix Database Administration course is not mandatory:
