Course Overview

Activating web sites using the ASP server-side scripting model. Active Server Pages (ASPs) drive dynamic web sites based on Microsoft's Internet Information Server as well as UNIX servers running ASP processors such as ChilliASP.

Audience

Web developers and programmers who will use ASP to deliver dynamic content to web users.

Skills Gained

To enable delegates to create ASP scripts that provide dynamic functionality for web sites.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Create, edit and publish ASP files.
  • Use the built-in ASP objects.
  • Write code that creates HTML pages dynamically.
  • Extract data from a database using ADO.
  • Read the contents of a web form submitted by a user.
  • Process data received from a user.
