Course Overview Management of risk is critical to organisational success. Informed risk-taking helps to improve performance through innovative approaches for managing the business, service delivery and value for money. Following the Turnbull report organisations are now busy working on risk management frameworks and internal control statements to embed risk management in their management processes. This course will give delegates an in depth knowledge of the use and techniques of the M_o_R(R) risk management method, as laid out in the Office of Government Commerce's (OGC) guide 'Management of Risk; Guidance for Practitioners'. Audience This event will benefit managers with full-time responsibilities for corporate governance or charged with enhancing an organisation's risk management culture. Skills Gained This course will enable delegates to: - Understand the key principles underpinning the effective management of risk.

Examinations This course takes place over five days, including the optional Foundation and Practitioner examinations. Delegates should be aware that considerable evening preparation and consolidation will be required by those that wish to pass the exams.
