This five-day course is the third course in the Linux administration curriculum. This course utilizes SLES9 as the Linux distribution upon which attendees learn to conduct more complex administrative skills that are necessary to the health and function of an installed and established small to medium Linux network. The tasks in this course are presented in a logical order that correlates to the networking needs of an established Linux network environment. The course design reinforces knowledge and tasks taught in the course through exercises that build upon previously introduced content and exercises, resulting in accelerated mastery of advanced administrative tasks. Audience This course presents advanced administrative skills common to a mid-to-senior level administrator in an enterprise environment. This course is aimed at Linux server administrators responsible for implementing, configuring, and managing Linux servers in a small to medium enterprise to solve common business problems. Examinations This course, along with the skills taught in the SUSE LINUX Fundamentals (Course 3036) and SUSE LINUX Administration (Course 3037) courses, prepare you to take the Novell(R) Certified Linux(R) Professional (Novell CLP) certification Practicum Exam. The Novell CLP is the certification for people interested in becoming Linux administrators.
