Course Overview

IP seems to have become the de-facto protocol in todays' networks. Why is this? Is it the only show in town, or are there other protocols? This two-day Understanding IP Networks course,is aimed specifically at global sales and pre-sales personnel, or other personnel working in a semi-technical environment.

The objective of this course is to provide a solid foundation in the operation of IP networks.It will cover jargon and terminology, LANs, an explanation of current and future IP services,and discuss ISP and peering arrangements.

Audience

This course is ideal for Sales, Pre-Sales, Sales support or other personnel who require a solid grounding in the concepts of IP networks and the services operating over them. Typically, as a prerequisite, a reasonable understanding of datacommunications and basic networking technology is required. Where this is lacking,additional tuition will be provided.

Skills Gained

This two-day theory course is delivered using a combination of classroom lectures,seminar discussion and practical demonstrations. Delegates will receive a manual containing copies of all slides used during the course, together with additional explanatory material,and a detailed glossary of terms, jargon and abbreviations.
